Once you have been accepted to the program, your application will be sent to our overseas partners in your desired destination. It is important to take time to write a clear letter directed to potential host families describing yourself and what you are looking for in a host family (click here to see a sample). The matching process is based upon the availability of your desired location and dates requested, as well as your hobbies and interests. The host family’s information will be presented to you before your program fee is due.

After you pay the program fee, you will be given the contact information for the family so you can get in touch with them before your program begins. All of our host families are screened and interview by CHI’s trusted overseas partners in each country.
