Building Bridges Between Cultures Through Homestay

Building bridges between cultures, one family and one student at a time. That’s the heart of CHI’s Group Homestay Program. Since 1980, we’ve been bringing American families together with students from around the world to share exciting, memorable experiences for one to four weeks.

Our Group Homestay students hail from countries throughout Asia and Europe.  They come here to learn about life in the United States, practice their English skills, and share their cultures with their host families.

Daily programs run by our Teacher Coordinators focus on culturally enriching, fun-filled activities. In the evenings and on weekends, local host families teach their students about their unique American family lives.  They introduce them to their friends and communities. It all comes together as a life enhancing experience for everyone involved.

We’ve already welcomed many participants this summer and as you can see from the photos below, they are having adventures and making memories.

CHI has participants arriving all summer long.  Check out our arriving groups page to find a group near you.
