What are your current travel plans? Is Las Vegas on your travel list? Here are 5 fun things to do in Las Vegas, Nevada.
1. Go to the Top of the Stratosphere
Las Vegas is a city that is truly larger than life. The best way to see it all is by visiting the Stratosphere observation deck just north of the Las Vegas Strip. The Stratosphere is 1,149 feet tall making it the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States. When you are done taking in the view, there are also rides at the top of the tower.
2. Zipline Over Fremont Street
There is more to Vegas than just the Las Vegas Strip. Fremont Street is located in Downtown Las Vegas. It’s not far from the Strip but has a different feel. Fremont Street is the home of many famous Las Vegas hotels and casinos. It was also used in many movies! There is a lot to do on Fremont Street but our favorite is ziplining over downtown Las Vegas! Depart from the world’s largest slot machine, then fly along zip lines under the dazzling Viva Vision canopy at Fremont Street Experience.
3. See a Cirque du Soleil
If you want to see a great show, see a Cirque du Soleil show! There are many shows that run year-round at the various casinos located on the Las Vegas Strip. They have everything from music to illusion and from acrobatics to artistry. Our favorite is La Reve – The Dream at the Wynn!
4. Red Rock Canyon
The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation is located just a few miles west of Las Vegas. Red Rock Canyon is a worldwide geologic interest and beauty. Drive through or get out and go for a hike. Don’t forget your camera! It is beautiful!
5. See the Fountains of Bellagio
Even though the Las Vegas Strip seems a bit daunting, the best way to experience it is to walk along it! Check out each massive resort as you walk by. Each one has a different theme. They are all beautiful. When you get to the middle of the Strip you must stop and watch a fountain show in front of the Bellagio. During this free show, you will watch the water dance with the music. The shows run every 15 or 30 minutes depending on the time of day.
