What are your current travel plans?  Is Lisbon on your travel list?  Here are 5 fun things to do in Lisbon, Portugal.

1. Praca de Comercio and Rua Augusta Arch

Check out the many popular attractions and shopping at Baixa, the downtown area (ride on the Elevador de Santa Justa, check out Praca de Comercio and the arch on Rua Augusta)

2. Alfama

Visit the oldest district of Lisbon, Alfama. Take the Tram 28 at Praca Martim Moniz square to get uphill — you can also walk up Rua Cavaleiros. Grab a cup of coffee at Miradouro Portas do Sol and check out the views. Find your way up to 11th-century Moorish fortress Castelo de Sao Jorge.

3. Walking Tour Around Palacete de Sao Bento

Get to Palacete de Sao Bento (the Portuguese seat of Parliament). Order ice cream at hip Nannarella ice cream shop, walk up Rua da Piedade to Praca das Flores park. Sit down (bring a book if you’d like) and relax like a local. Then continue walking up hill to Praca do Principe Real. Once you check out the area, continue towards Chiado by walking downhill, catch a spectacular city view from Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara, continue down through Bairro Alto and to Chiado.

4. Walk the neighborhoods

Lisbon has many hills and you will discover a lot when venturing up and down its beautiful streets.

5. Pastel de Nata

Must try Pastel de Nata. Locals love this Portuguese custard tart and you can find it everywhere you go. Try a different bakery every day!
