1. Visit Notre Dame, from the inside

Notre Dame is an impressive medieval Catholic cathedral.  The outside is beautiful but did you know you can also go inside?  There is no fee to visit so take your time and walk around the entire interior to see all of the stained glass.  Don’t miss the south rose window!  It is stunning!

2. Say hi to Mona Lisa at the Louvre

The Louvre is definitely worth a visit.  With over 35,000 paintings, sculptures and artifacts on permanent exhibit, it receives nearly 10 million visitors per year, making it by far the World’s most visited museum.

3. Spend time in Tuileries Garden and walk to the Eiffel Tower

When you leave the Louvre you will be right near Tuileries Garden.  Walk through this beautiful garden and enjoy the sculptures and scenery.  If you continue walking you will come across small streets that are filled with Parisian spirit.  You will soon set your eyes on the Eiffel Tower.  Watching the tower get larger as you get closer is a truly amazing experience.  You can get there many ways but we recommend walking along the Champs-Elysee!  This is also not to be missed!

4. Visit the Eiffel Tower right before dawn

The Eiffel Tower is a must-see item for sure!  It is beautiful at any time of the day but we recommend getting there right before dawn.  Then you can see it in the sunlight and as the lights of the tower come on.  This is truly a magical experience.  You can, of course, go up in the Eiffel Tower.  If you want to do this get tickets ahead of time!

5. Visit Sacré-Cœur and get artsy in Place du Tertre

Sacré-Cœur sits atop a large hill in Montmartre.  It very impressive and is one of Paris’ most visited monuments.  The dome and bell tower makes this the second-highest point in Paris after the Eiffel Tower.  After touring the Sacré-Cœur enjoy the artsy vibe of  Place du Tertre.  There are many small art galleries where you can easily find the works of  Salvador Dali or other great artists.  This square is a pleasure!

Bonus: Get a treat at Odette Paris

Odette Paris is an adorable cafe where you can get a treat and a coffee.  It’s very close to the Shakespear and Company Bookstore and Notre Dame.  Make sure you leave a little time for a quick stop at this little gem!
