CHI host mom Karen Edwards, from Arlington, Washington, recently had to say goodbye to her two Academic Year Program students Betina and Fernanda. Betina, from Brazil, and Fernanda, from Mexico, spent this past school year with Karen in Arlington, about an hour north of Seattle.
After a sad goodbye, Karen got a huge pick-me-up when she received the two sweet letters below, one each from Betina and Fernanda. The heartfelt notes expressed just how much the two girls loved their time with Karen, and how much the experience had changed their lives. They went on to insist that they all keep in touch, and we think that’s a great idea!
