Anna has over 200 hours of experience with infants. She worked with a new born from until he was 2 years old. In addition, she has over 500 hours with children. She is studying to become an English teacher and she has experience as a camp counselor. She likes to help children with their homework and organize their free time with fun and learning activities. She learned how to drive in January 2012. She had to drive children back and forth to school and different activities. She has experience driving in snow and she feels comfortable behind the wheels. Her English is Upper-intermediate. She likes arts and crafts in her free time but she also enjoys being outside. She likes going for walks, hiking. She would like to share her culture and cooking traditional Ukrainian food for her host family in the US.

Since September 2009 Xiaomei has been working as an English teacher at a Technical Training school, where she mostly has worked with teenagers aged 13-17 years old, but has also worked with the 8-10 years old. Prior to this current job, she spent three months working as an English teacher at a kindergarten with children aged 5-6 years old. To complement her teaching experience, she also has approximately 650 hours of verified experience babysitting infants as young as five months. She received her Chinese driver’s license in May 2012 and drives less than once a week, as she does not have steady access to a car. Her English is rated as upper intermediate to advanced. Xiaomei enjoys staying active and fit and practices yoga in her free time. She also enjoys dancing and playing badminton or ping pong. She enjoys spending time outdoors hiking or camping as well. She greatly enjoys teaching and working with children and hopes this opportunity will improve her teaching career back in China.

Lovisa has accumulated extensive childcare experience working as a babysitter as well as completing several internships at nurseries and daycare facilities. To summarize, she has worked as a substitute kindergarten teacher for children aged one to six years old, worked as a babysitter for a child aged one- two years old, worked as a par time (25 hours/week) nanny for a four year old and completed four separate internships working at nurseries, primary schools and daycare facilities. She has experience working with children as young as ten months and as old as twelve years old. She began driving in 2006 and received her driver’s license in November 2008. She currently drives 4-7 times a week and feels fine driving in all types of weather. She speaks fluent English.
Lovisa describes herself as caring, loyal and happy and enjoys staying active. Exercise and staying healthy is important to her and she enjoys swimming, playing handball, soccer and volleyball. She grew up in an active family that enjoyed the outdoors and his love of sports and outdoor activities is part of her life. She loves animals and has a dog at home, who she considers part of her family.
