At the beginning of the year, CHI announced its fourth annual Cultural Ambassador Award Forum, planned for August 2020. A lot has changed since our announcement and despite our hopes and aspirations. As of right now, the future of this project remains uncertain for many reasons related to the COVID-19 situation in the world.
A few weeks ago a young Work and Travel participant reached out asking about the project. With all honesty, we informed him that the CAA Forum may not take place. However, this young cultural ambassador was not discouraged by the world crisis affecting our plans. In fact, he proudly presented his video submission. He proudly presented his culture.
Joshua Trinidad, from the Philippines, may not have won the CAA award, but he has won our hearts and caused a smile on our faces with his beautiful video about his motherland – Philippines. In his three minute video, he tells us and shows us a lot about his culture.
It’s great to start your Monday with a #storywithasmile Thank you, Joshua, for boosting our mood and transporting us to the warm and beautiful Philippines with your video submission.
May the Fourth (CAA Forum) be with you and we hope to continue receiving submissions from our participants. Learn more about CAA here: chinet.org/caa
