Celebrating Independence Day 1

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is one of the most important and popular holidays in America, celebrating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Today most people think of the Fourth of July as a day for fireworksparadesbarbecues and time with family and friends.

There will be many events going on before and after the Fourth of July. Here is a list of some of the best places to celebrate.

If you are an Exchange Visitor, talk to your American friends and find out what they plan to do for the holiday. Celebrating the Fourth of July is a truly American experience. Participate! Have fun! #GetOutThereCHI
