Internship participants were treated to a bit of fun and culture when they visited iconic Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach. Santa Monica pier has an impressive history of over 100 years. Here you can find fun rides, great restaurants, an arcade and a beautiful carousel that was built in 1922 and features 44 hand-carved horses.
Venice Beach is just 2.5 miles from Santa Monica and the best way to get there is by biking along the ocean. Venice Beach is known for its bohemian vibe. Here you will find lots of “funky” shops as well as performers and street art. Walk along the boardwalk or go play on the beach. If you are in the mood get a workout in at Muscle Beach.
