CHI in the News: “Japanese students find America friendly, charitable and kind”

This summer 21 Japanese students visited Arlington, WA through CHI’s Group Homestay Program.  During their time in Arlington, the group learned English, American culture and saw the local sights.  They were impressed with all of the volunteer and outreach programs America offers.  Some participants even expressed interest in starting a food bank or local charity when they return home to Japan.

When they were asked how they would describe America, Tatsuya called it “exciting,” Kosei, 14, deemed it “fantastic,” and Miyu praised Americans as “kind.”

The Arlington Times wrote an article about the group of students from the Kagoshima Prefecture of Japan.  Read the full article here.
