In October staff from CHI’s Work & Travel department went to the Philippines for a hiring tour. They attend five job fairs in Manilla and Cebu. Approximately 360 prospective participants were interviewed. The students were excited to meet with CHI representatives and were grateful to have the opportunity to interview for the program.
CHI also hosted an alumni event for past CHI Work & Travel participants. Over 30 students attended. Participants were excited to get together and share memories from their time in the U.S. Participants from Evelyn Hill, Drury Hotel, Galveston Hotel, Hale and Hearty and Nathan’s Famous attended.
It was great to hear how the past participants are doing now. One participant started his own bakery business in Manila and another will soon begin working at one of the best hotels in Australia. Participants were very thankful to CHI for this amazing opportunity.
