CHI staff shared some of their favorite meals to enjoy during the warm summer months.

Cold Strawberry Summer Soup from Slovakia

“My mother used to make Cold Strawberry Soup in the Summer.” – Tom Areton, CHI Founder


I cup of washed cut up strawberries

I cup of coarsely pulverized strawberries (in a blender)

3 cups of whole milk (you can substitute half-n-half)

Enough crystal sugar to taste (we use Sweet-n-Low – it dissolves faster and has fewer calories)

Put in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Eat from soup bowls.

Enjoy on a hot day.
