2019 Global Pathfinder Summit

From May 20 -24,  100 emerging leaders from around the globe representing 51 countries will join with 50 Virginians for five days of leadership development and global networking.  This diverse group of young political, governmental, and civic leaders from across the globe will share ideas and listen to incredible keynote speakers. CHI is pleased to have five Alumni of our Exchange Programs (SWT and CHI Camp Leaders) participants attending this event.  They were selected among many current and past participants and we are proud of their accomplishment. We will present these exceptional young people and follow their journey in the coming weeks.

Spotlight Nominee: Cristina Baba, Romania

“If we would all be responsible people, in every aspect – moral, social, environmental, action, etc. – it would be possible to achieve corporate responsibility, climate action, responsible consumption, and even education would be normal parameters.”

Cristina Baba has a passion for teaching and travel.  Coming from Brasov, Romania, Cristina is excited to join the Global Pathfinder Summit in Washington, D.C. later this month. She has a love of learning and received her bachelor and master’s degree in Business Administration and is now a Ph.D. student.

As a UN Youth representative for Romania, Cristina will bring her experience working with youth, government and numerous NGOs to this year’s Global Pathfinder Summit.  Cristina plans to represent her country at the General Assembly at the UN and to stand for her community.

Her professional satisfaction comes from doing meaningful work, being connected to the community and getting involved in social activities.
