As an English Conversation Volunteer (ECV) you can go almost anywhere and stay with a host family for 1, 2 or 3 months. The ECVA program allows everyone, even budget travelers, to experience the excitement of living abroad.
In exchange for a private room and full board, you just have to share your native language with your hosts for 15 hours per week. No prior teaching experience is necessary! These casual English conversation lessons usually run 5 days a week, 3 hours a day. CHI provides you with tutoring materials, but most of our hosts that are learning English as a second language (ESL) simply want to practice speaking English with a native speaker. It’s that fun and easy!
