Each year Academic Program Administrators LuCinda Mountifield and Jennie Fouts take a large group of Academic Year Program (AYP) participants, host families and Academic Coordinators to Seattle for a day of sightseeing and holiday shopping. This year they had about 110 people join including students from countries such as Japan, Mongolia, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Norway, Sweden, China, France and Brazil.
Everyone made the most of the day by visiting Pike Place Market, the original Starbucks, the Space Needle, Nike Town, the Experience Music Project and the Seattle Art Museum. They joined together in the afternoon for dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. What a wonderful day!
