CHI now offers exciting internship opportunities for American university students or recent graduates in various countries around the world. These programs allow you to gain experience in a professional work environment, learn a new language and culture, meet graduation requirements, build your resume and create unforgettable memories with new friends.
Most International Internships are unpaid, but you may be eligible to earn a stipend, free airfare, free housing or other perks in select countries. Program fees vary by destination.
Here are a few of our most popular internship programs:
MEXICO
Kennedy Hageness (left) from Minnesota did a 3-month Hospitality Internship at a 5-star resort on the beach in Tulum, Mexico last summer. She worked in Public Relations.
We offer exciting Hospitality Internships at exclusive hotels and restaurants in Mexico. Placements may be in Cuernavaca, Tulum or Puerto Vallarta.
Interns in Mexico work a 40-hour-work-week and receive free housing at the hotel or in a shared apartment. Available positions include working in the reception, working with guest services and public relations or working in the kitchen.
Placements run from 2-6 months.
Program fee: US $999
EUROPE
Alexa Schofield from Ohio enjoyed riding bikes and sight-seeing in Amsterdam after her program with CHI.
Interns in Europe work a 40-hour-work-week at innovative companies. Opportunities to work on a graduation project in your field are available. Housing is not included, but can be arranged. Pricing varies based on the type of living arrangement.

CHINA
Rachel Lowe from New Jersey gained valuable experience towards a career in Education by tutoring a host family in China.
The Educare program is a FREE internship opportunity for current university students to teach English in China over their summer vacation. Interns act as a role model and teach English to the children of their assigned host family for 30-hours-per-week.
Educare interns receive the following:
- Room and board
- Flights
- Visa expenses covered
- Mandarin lesson
- Arranged cultural activities
Program Fee: US $150 (deposit which is reimbursed upon successful completion of program)
