Internship Participant Dresses for Culture Day

ITP Participant RimYaerim Kang is about to finish up her yearlong CHI Internship program.  A native of South Korea, Yaerim, who goes by ‘Rim’, has been interning as a teacher’s assistant at Pinecrest School in Thousand Oaks, CA.  Each year, the school has a ‘culture day’ where they ask students and teachers to dress in the style of clothes from their country.  Rim was a hit on the school grounds in her lovely traditional Korean dress.

The dress was extra special since she borrowed it from CHI Coordinator Sandra Haglund.  Sandra had worn the dress to her son’s wedding in South Korea many years ago.  Sandra states, “time moves on…and so it seems do dresses”.

Rim is a wonderful young woman and is loved by all who know her.  She has been an asset to the school in many ways and we are thrilled that she is now part of the CHI family.
