Do you want to build a snowman? Or visit a castle made of ice?
CHI Work & Travel participants recently experienced a real treat! The Omni Mount Washington Resort’s Associate Service Center along with CHI hosted a J1 cultural visit to the amazing Ice Castles, in Lincoln, NH. The event, which was free for CHI Work & Travel participants, included a bus ride to Lincoln, time to tour the castle, shopping at the nearby outlets and a shuttle ride home. The group took some amazing pictures to share!
The idea to create an ice castle started with the creator Brent, and it started in his backyard. Brent moved his family from California to Utah and while looking for something exciting for his children to do in the cold weather, Brent began building an ice rink in the backyard. It wasn’t just any ice rink though. This ice rink included a 20′ slide, an ice cave and a castle like tower. Brent’s children named it the “Ice Castle” and the rest is history. You really have to visit one of these amazing structures to truly appreciate it!
