Au Pair Abroad in China
Beijing boasts a history of more than 3,000 years, of which more than 800 years were as the national capital. The city formerly known as Peking has many places of historic interest, including the Temple of Heaven, where ancient emperors performed solemn rituals for bountiful harvests, the Summer Palace, ancient emperors’ summer retreat; and the Ming Tombs, the mausoleum of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. And of course the Great Wall of China is the most well known tourist attraction in Beijing. Nearly every Au Pair gets to visit the Great Wall of China during their program.
Beijing is a modern metropolis as well. Explore the city streets, eat amazing Chinese food and celebrate life with fun festivities such as music and art festivals – don’t forget Chinese New Year in February! Au Pairs in China will have the opportunity to join excursions to other areas as well. In doing so, you will learn more about Chinese culture and have a fantastic opportunity to learn and practice the Chinese language. The living cost in China is very low, making this an ideal placement if you are on a budget. Au pairs in China can actually earn about $500 per month!
Au Pair Abroad in France
Brittany, a coastal region in northern France, is rich in history, traditions and will seduce you with its landscapes and the warmth of its people. You will be able to learn a lot of French during your stay.
Travel around France is fast and easy with high-speed trains. Paris is just a 3 hour train ride from Brittany. Spend a weekend in the charming capital city to check out the Eiffel Tower, visit the Louvre and Montemartre. Bordeaux is another beautiful coastal city to the south of Brittany. You may also want to experience the wine country in the Loire Valley or venture further down to Mediterranean coast in the south of France.

Au Pair Abroad in Germany
Tucked away amid open, gently rolling countryside and surrounded by vineyards, Heilbronn is much-loved for its beautiful location on the river Neckar, its picturesque vistas and historical buildings. Germany has plenty to offer: delicious cuisine, beautiful scenery, lively festivals, fun celebrations, and inspiring architecture.
Travel in Germany is easy to do via train. Indulge in Oktoberfest in Munich, check out “The Dome” Cathedral in Cologne and see what all the hype is about in the trendy city of Berlin. Most au pairs have the opportunity to take a travel break during their stay.

Au Pair Abroad in Italy
Italy is rich in culture and history. From the amazing cuisine to breathtaking architecture, Italy will not cease to impress you. Luckily the country is very compact making it easy to visit all the major sites. See where the gladiators fought in the Roman Coliseum, take a ride in a gondola through the canals of Venice and see how crooked the Leaning Tower of Pisa is for yourself!
There is so much to see and do in Italy. There are a lot of fun celebrations happening throughout the year. The Verona Opera festival is popular during the summer months, and so is Festa de Redentore in Venice. Carnevale is a huge winter festival celebrated with parties, music, entertainment, masquerade balls, and parades. Italy is also famous for fashion, opera and art.

You can earn up to $100 per week as an Au Pair in Italy. There is no better way to learn the ins and outs of Italy than living with a host family!
Au Pair Abroad in Spain
Visiting a city as big as Madrid and managing to see and do all it has to offer is no easy task. From sprawling museums to traditional restaurants and bars, every corner you turn uncovers a spot that draws in tourists and locals alike. Be sure to check out Gran Via, Plaza del Sol and Retiro Park.
Spain offers plenty of festivals throughout the year, many of them specific to different towns and regions offering a huge variety in local specialities, trades, and cultural quirks. The country is small enough that it is possible to visit other cities during your program. Check out the festival of fire called Las Fallas in Valencia, the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona and the famous tomato-fight La Tomatina in Bunol.
